Sculptural collars built from articulated segments. The challenge here was movement: each link had to flex around the neck while the overall silhouette stayed sharp and graphic.

Bespoke & fine jewellery design
I design original fine jewellery, taking each piece from a first sketch or a loose idea through to a refined concept that a workshop can build with confidence.

Every piece begins with an idea and ends with a design that is clear enough to make and personal enough to keep.
Portfolio
Six bodies of work across necklaces, rings, earrings and brooches. Each one explores a different idea about form, colour and how a piece sits on the body.

II.
Animals rendered in colour and light. Stone size and tone are mapped carefully across each form so a wolf's fur or a wing's markings read clearly from across a room.
Rings · Brooches · Coloured stones

III.
A study in line. The serpent wraps the finger, climbs the ear and cradles a pear cut centre stone, always with a single continuous curve guiding the eye.
Rings · Ear climbers · Diamonds

IV.
Playful objects treated with high jewellery seriousness. Pastel sapphires, calibré cut rainbows and rose gold bring humour without losing refinement.
Brooches · Pendants · Pastel stones

V.
Cocktail rings and pendants with a single bold idea: a wave, a cloud, a pair of lips. Volume is carved back wherever possible so the pieces stay wearable and lighter on the hand.

VI.
Quieter pieces designed to be worn daily. Rub over and gypsy settings protect the stones, and softened edges keep them comfortable for years.
Rings · Bracelets · Yellow gold

Process
I work with digital and AI assisted design tools, exploring widely and then refining hard. The aim is always the same: a concept that feels personal and is clear enough for a bench to build without guesswork.

Proportion is settled on paper before anything else. Once the silhouette sits right on the neck, I develop it digitally to resolve link sizes, stone layouts and how the clasp disappears into the design.
Colourway studies show the same structure in different stone palettes before committing to a single direction.

The same wolf, three moods. Changing the stone palette alters the character of a piece completely, so I test it early rather than late.

A Libra pin, before and after. The second round opens up the arch, balances the baguette lengths and brings the colour fade into a single direction.

Expertise

Working knowledge of diamond and coloured stone cuts, colour behaviour, hardness and the qualities of gold, platinum and their alloys.
Pavé, claw, rub over, channel and invisible settings, plus articulation, hinges and clasps that work as well as they look.
An understanding of casting, fabrication and stone setting, so designs account for wall thickness, weight, comfort and cost from day one.
A trained eye for composition: how a piece balances on the body, how colour graduates and how materials sit together.
Digital visualisation that turns an idea into clear, considered concepts and imagery that communicates a design at a glance.
Confident use of generative tools to test colourways, contexts and variations quickly, always steered and edited by a designer's judgement.
A genuine interest in contemporary jewellery and wider luxury design, from heritage houses to independent makers.
Turning a feeling, a memory or an abstract word into a clear design direction that stays true to the original idea.
A willingness to keep refining, round after round, until every line and every stone is earning its place.
Managing several concepts at once and owning the design process end to end, from first idea to final concept.
About
I'm Justina, a jewellery designer specialising in bespoke and fine jewellery. My work moves between the playful and the sculptural, but it always starts with the person who will wear it.
I care about the moment a piece is first put on: how it catches the light, how it moves and whether it feels like it was always meant to be there.
